The trees are cultivated on agricultural land in the Philippines. Stewards receive region-level location information but not exact GPS coordinates, for security and operational reasons.
Stewardship Structure
One Steward Unit equals one agar tree. Each unit includes land use, watering, and maintenance for that tree over 7 years.
The price per Steward Unit is the USD equivalent of PHP 10,000 at the time of payment. This is approximately $175 USD, though the exact amount depends on the prevailing exchange rate.
7 years from the date of your Stewardship Agreement.
Yes. There is a hard cap of 20,000 total Steward Units across all participants.
Yes. You can purchase multiple units in any tier. Tier 3 (Legacy Bundle) offers bundles of 5, 10, or 25 units with additional benefits.
Tiers and Options
Tier 1 (Basic) covers land use, watering, and maintenance only. Tier 2 (Plus) adds contingent harvest participation with a 60/40 revenue split. Tier 3 (Legacy Bundle) adds multi-tree bundles, priority services, and optional family naming.
It means that if and when your assigned tree produces harvestable agarwood resin that is sold, you may receive a share of the net proceeds. This is not guaranteed.
For Tier 2 and Tier 3, the split is 60% to the Steward and 40% to the Operator, based on net proceeds after harvesting, processing, and sales costs.
Please contact us to discuss tier changes. Changes may be available depending on unit availability and operational timing, but are not guaranteed.
Tier 3 Stewards can optionally name or dedicate their trees — for example, in honor of a family member. This is for personal and legacy purposes.
The Trees
Agar trees, specifically Aquilaria species, which are the source of agarwood resin — one of the most valued natural resources in the world.
Agarwood resin is used in high-end perfumery, traditional medicine, incense, and cultural ceremonies across Asia and the Middle East.
Trained agricultural workers provide regular watering, pest control, soil management, and general upkeep throughout the 7-year cultivation term.
Inoculation is a process applied to agar trees to encourage resin formation. It is standard practice in agarwood cultivation, but does not guarantee resin production.
Yes. All Stewards receive a unique Tree ID and annual growth and status updates.
